Karate Trainer and Sports Educator.
I started studying Karate in 1979 with the masters Gianni Mosconi, Ezio Salandri and Yutaka Toyama sensei, a scholar of the founder and Grandmaster Hironori Ohtsuka. In 1984 I received my first black belt from the hands of Toyama sensei. Then I continued studying with Stefano Silvagni sensei and with my friend and master Paolo Gasbarri. Later I’ve met Maurizio Paradisi, Giuseppe Carloni and Roberto Danubio sensei (7th dan JKF Wadokai, President and Chief Instructor of the Swiss Wadokai and one of the highest Karate authority in Europe). Thanks to their precious help and mentorship I’ve joined the Japan Karate-do Federation Wado-Kai through its official Italian branch WKSI – Wadokai Karatedo Shin-Gi-Tai Italia. Japan Wado-Kai is the first and greater Wado-ryu organisation in the world, founded by Hironori Otsuka himself in 1934. Nowadays, more than 850,000 wadokas all over the five continents are members of JKF Wado-Kai.
I believe that you can’t be a Budo man or woman if you are not a thinking man or woman. So, my personal approach to Karate study and teaching aims to encourage and stimulate people to a self-reflection and understanding of our discipline and all of its implications, both practical and philosophical. Just to get a little closer to those harmony and union between mind and body, ability and spirit, that is the ultimate goal of the martial art and that Hironori Ohtsuka set as name and foundation of this beautiful way to reach for the self-knowledge traveling the path of Karate. Always keeping in mind the ancient Japanese Budo motto: 心 技 体, Shin Gi Tai. Spirit (mind and heart), techniques and body should always run together. ♦ Leggilo in italiano
